Pay per Click

Over the past year I have seen a marked change in my clients' attitudes to online advertising. One year ago they were talking about buying a listing on Yell.com or Kelly's, and were quite cautious about using Pay-Per-Click (PPC); today they are eager to terminate their advertising contracts and create more targeted online PPC campaigns.

Google AdWord Success

The concept of Pay per Click (PPC) is very simple: you create an advert, agree a budget, select your keywords, click to publish and view it live. The difficult part is trying to generate a Return on Investment (ROI) which can be justified in terms of both time and money. When done correctly PPC can be a vital component in your online marketing strategy.

Before any campaign I always make sure that I have a clear idea of what the company does and what it needs to achieve through its PPC campaign. All too often companies create untargeted, online campaigns which result in wasted time, money and, sometimes, damage to the brand.

Pay per Click is one of the most underrated, yet potentially most powerful, advertising media available to companies in the UK. The ability to create an advert and get it in front of your target audience in less than a few minutes, is quite something.

What makes a good campaign? I have come up with what I call the 5 Rights of Pay per Click

Right Objectives - What do you want to achieve with Pay per Click?
Right Keywords - Have you correctly identified the kinds of words that your target market uses online?
Right Copy - Have you created copy that turns a search into a click?
Right Page - Does your destination page resonate with your audience?
Right Call to Action - Have you created the most appropriate calls to action?

To date the campaigns I have created for clients have resulted in adding thousands of pounds worth of revenue to their bottom line. Get in touch, to see how I can do the same for your company.
